Mary Shelley

Mary was born on August the 30th in 1797 in London.

In 1812, Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin met Percy Bysshe Shelley for the first time.

In 1814, after a quarrel with her father because of her relationship with Percy, they fled to France.

In 1816, Percy and Mary got married.

In 1817, the first version of Frankenstein was completed.

In 1817 too, her first child, Clara died only few weeks after her birth.

In 1818, the revised version of Frankenstein was published

In 1820, the Shelleys moved to Pisa.

In 1822, Percy drowned off the coast of Lerici.

In 1832, Mary returned to England with her son.

Mary Shelley died in 1851 the 1st of February because of a brain tumor. She was 54.
